John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament Supports Behind The Badge

On May 11th, the Grant County Sheriff's Office hosted the John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament in support of the great organization: the Behind The Badge Foundation. With a mission to "honor law enforcement officers who have died or suffered serious injury in the line of duty," it is a cause that speaks to the core of our community and the family of law enforcement officers that work hard to keep us safe.

Dozens of participants and sponsors turned out for a shotgun game of golf, delicious food, and an impressive silent auction. It was inspiring to see our community come out to support such a worthy cause. The event ended up raising more than $65,000 for Behind the Badge. Grant County Sheriff, Tom Jones, said it best: “The John Bernard Memorial Golf Tournament was truly a humbling experience. The amount of financial support for the organization was amazing. The golfer’s had a great time and we raised a lot of money.  Without the volunteers that helped with the tournament, it would not have been possible."

Thank you to everyone who helped make this incredible event a success!
